Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Call for opens:

- None

Review of previous meeting minutes:

- Lance Wang moved to approve the Dec 5 minutes.
  Bob Ross seconded the motion.  Without objection minutes were approved.

ARs:

- Mike LaBonte to post IBISCHK7 parser contract draft 1 .
  - Not done because we have never before posted a draft contract.

- Mike LaBonte to add change details to IBISCHK7 parser contract draft 1.
  - Done up to BIRD147.6. Now draft 2.

- Bob Ross to write bug reports for new issues:
  - One has been written, to be reviewed today.

New IBISCHK bugs:
- Mike showed an email from Arpad Muranyi.
- Arpad: If an IBIS model ISSO tables with unequal currents no error is flagged.
  - The spec requires this.
  - IBISCHK should check this.
- Mike: Is there a testcase?
- Arpad: The one I have can't be shared.
  - I can recommend how to break an existing testcase.
- Mike: BUGs 115 and 166 have ISSO testcases

AR: Mike LaBonte to send "blank" ISSO testcase file to Arpad Muranyi.

- We suspended the topic while Arpad seacrhed for more information.


IBISCHK7 parser development contract:
- Mike showed contract draft2.
- Mike: Editorial-only BIRDs have been deleted.
  - The BIRDs are no longer listed in two places.
  - We have four BUGs so far.
  - BIRD 147.6 changes are listed in detailed bullet lists.
  - For BCI_State we can only warn about issues with the values.
- Bob: That should be an error.
  - This format may make the contract too long to read.
- Mike: We can consider reducing it later.

AR: Mike LaBonte to send IBISCHK700 draft 2 parser contract.

New IBISCHK bugs:
- Arpad showed ec_portname_bug.ibs.
- Arpad: With [IBIS Ver] 4.2 an [External Circuit] error is flagged.
  - With 5.1 it goes away.
  - There should be no error checking with [IBIS Ver] 4.2.
- Bob: Does it work with 4.1?
  - The other errors in the testcase should be stripped out to simplify it.
- Arpad: With 4.1 it gives the errors.
  - With 5.0 the errors go away.
  - So this changed between 4.2 and 5.0.

- Arpad: There is no error if [Node Declarations] is commented out.
- Bob: It may be that a bug was fixed but not retroactively.
  - BUGS 176 and 177 may be related to this.

- Arpad: It is rejecting the A_In port which is legally called.
  - Also A_signal in a [Circuit Call] should generate an error, but doesn't.
  - That is a reserved name for [External Model] but not [External Circuit].
- Bob: Commenting out Signal_pin might suppress that.
- Arpad: It doesn't.
- Bob: We need to check the spec.

Mike: Are there 3 bugs here?
- Arpad: One is the version problem
  - Two is [End Node Declarations]
  - Three is the A_In problem, the most annoying.
  - Four is ISSO, a different testcase.
  - Five may be a bug from Ambrish.
- Bob: We will need separate testcases.

AR: Arpad Muranyi to send bug testcases to Bob Ross

- Bob showed a BUG 194 draft1.
- Bob: Zuken reported this, along with Mike LaBonte.
  - The error message has "TBD ..." in it.
  - Mike provided a better message.
  - We might have to create a new message number and deprecate this.
- Mike: We could just change the message.
- Bob: We will classify this Friday.

- Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Arpad Muranyi seconded. The meeting ended without objection.
